It took several days after the last torrential rain for the sun to come out. We were getting cabin fever by yesterday that my girls went to eat out with some friends. I did small errands like ordering jugs of filtered water and driving Twin I who had hankered for pastries. Just to get out of the house.
Then I powerwashed the whole afternoon. I powerwashed the shit out of my stairs that was so grimy after the storms.

My Lazada purchase finally arrived. I bought my outside kitties the donut tunnel so they don’t feel too exposed.

It took a while again for them to be acclimated to the outside world after being cozy inside my house. As much as I want to keep them inside because they’re more loving than my resident divas, I couldn’t for now because I can’t have the divas constantly stressed and marking their territory. I’m already running out of bio-enzyme deodorizers and cleaners. I even stripped my room of bedding and curtains because my damned inside cats marked me as theirs. 😑
As my high school classmate who is a vet in another city told me, treat cats like human children with autism. They don’t take to changes well and they get so stressed even with just the smallest of changes you implement: furniture placement, smell, visitors who they don’t know, sounds… And while they tolerate the presence of Socks and Gorilla, they couldn’t cope with having them around while they eat. I had to feed Kimchi and Sushi in my room, with the door closed because that’s where they feel safe.

All I can do for now is to accompany them here on the balcony so they won’t feel that I rejected them and be confused. The donut is helping a lot in making them feel safe and secure.
The only thing that’s stressing me out with the current setup is that a stray orange cat is invading their space and being nasty to my very docile cats. They don’t fight back and instead they just run away and climb the dangerous fences. I can’t have them scratched by a stray because who knows what kind of disease this one carries. Cats get FIVs this way. 😭 I need to buy a water gun—you know, the toy we loved to play with when we were kids—so we can shoot that ill-mannered orange cat without really killing it. We already lost my kids’ water cannons from a long time ago.

In the next two days, we will have fair weather. Perfect for diving. But damn, my kids need to go to school and I have work. 😑
